Christmas Message – 2019
Message from the chairman
I just wanted to say a very Happy Christmas to all of the Port Vale fans, also I wanted to give a special mention to all those who are working over the festive season in jobs that work 365 days a year, like the NHS, the emergency services, the British Forces we thank you for the work you do. As we are now officially into the festive season I think that it is safe to say that this is certainly a fantastic time to be a Port Vale fan and it really is nice to see so many smiling faces around the place the FA Cup draw is fantastic for the club and the supporters so let’s hope that we can get a draw and bring them back to Vale Park for a money-spinning replay. Hopefully, the Vale will be getting some points over the festive period. At this time of year, I thought that we should give a mention to all the Vale family that we have lost over the last 12 months, it is nice to know that they will always be remembered in the Hearts of all Port Vale fans.
I also think it is only right to look at where the club has come over the last 12 months which if you remember where we were in January 2019 to now it’s absolutely remarkable. The owners have bought a new lease of life to the club, alongside this the team are doing well, there are small changes that have made such a massive difference to the club. Collectively as we look back over the last 12 months, when we were facing football oblivion we can look forward to a healthy future for Port Vale football club, the whole area of Burslem will also prosper. So thank you to Kevin & Carol for buying the club, thanks to every supporter that got behind the movement for change and especially everyone behind the scenes involved in Black & Gold together we united a fan base and now we are pushing for what we all wanted success for Port Vale.
Christmas is a lovely & exciting time for people to celebrate but also it can be a very lonely time for some, so if you know someone who could be on their own give them a call and check they are ok? So have a fantastic Christmas I shall hopefully see a few of you at Mansfield on Boxing Day, but let’s remain thankful of where we are and optimistic that the future is bright for Port Vale.
